APPLY FOR FINANCIAL AID
To determine if you are eligible for federal financial aid such as grants, loans, or work-study submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at http://fafsa.ed.gov.
Federal Student Aid assigns a federal School Code to each college/university. Utah Tech’s Federal School Code is 003671.

Utah Tech offers a variety of scholarships and waivers to incoming freshmen and transfer students.
Both Utah residents and non-residents are automatically considered for academic scholarships if they are admitted prior to the scholarship deadline.

APPLY FOR HOUSING
Exploring your student housing options can be an exciting process! Many of your memorable Utah Tech experiences will occur in your future apartment with your future roommates. There are many great student housing options both on and off campus at Utah Tech University. To ensure the best student housing experience, students are encouraged to find and identify their housing preferences sooner rather than later as most complexes assign bed spaces on a “first come first served” basis. Begin exploring and planning now to make your student housing experience both comfortable and enjoyable!

CONFIGURE YOUR STUDENT EMAIL ACCOUNT
Upon acceptance to the university or applying for financial aid you will be assigned an Outlook Utah Tech Email account. This serves as the official form of communication between you and Utah Tech University (e.g. financial aid, campus activities, important dates and deadlines).
In your acceptance letter you will find your email username. To access your student email, visit outlook.utahtech.edu. When logging in to your student email, you will use your digital-id followed by @utahtech.edu (D00000000@utahtech.edu). Your password is the same password you use for all of your Utah Tech logins.
For security reasons, you have also been assigned an alias that you can give out as your email address, you may not want everyone to know your digital-id. Your alias is typically your firstname.lastname@utahtech.edu (brooks.bison@utahtech.edu) or preferredfirstname.lastname@utahtech.edu. Remember, you must use your ‘digital-id’ when logging into outlook.utahtech.edu.
Check your email regularly in order to stay on top of what is happening at Utah Tech.

SUBMIT YOUR TEST SCORES
While you do not need test scores for admission, we still need them for placement purposes. Test scores help us understand what specific classes you may need to take. Please click on the link below so we can better assist you as registration approaches. Click here to sign back into your Admissions Portal and complete the Registration Readiness Form.

COMPLETE OR UPDATE ENROLLMENT INTENTION STATUS FORM
We want to provide you with the most up-to-date information about your status at UT. Please complete and/or update an Enrollment Intentions Status Form.
- Once you’re admission is completed, log back into your application status portal by going to apply.utahtech.edu.
- Click on Returning users and log in to your account. Your username is the email you used for your application. Your password can be reset by clicking ‘Forgot Your Password’
- Select your Fall 2022 Undergraduate Application to take you to your Status Page. Under Enrollment Checklist, click and complete the Enrollment Intention Form
SIGN UP FOR CLASSES
ACADEMIC ADVISEMENT
Academic Advisors will help you take ownership of your education as you participate in courses designed to promote active learning, active life at Utah Tech University. The advisement team will aid you in tailoring your class schedule to help you meet your educational goals and help mentor you on your way to graduation. SIGN UP FOR TRAILBLAZER ORIENTATION
Trailblazer Orientation provides a wealth of information about the academic and social culture of Utah Tech University as well as opportunities for connection to other new students, current student leaders, campus resources, and faculty and staff. Trailblazer Orientation has shown to have a positive effect on retention and graduation, and as such, attendance at Trailblazer Orientation is required for ALL new students. Orientation dates fill up quickly, so we encourage you to sign up as soon as possible.

SEND FINAL COLLEGE TRANSCRIPTS TO RECORDS OFFICE
The Registrar’s Office, located on the first floor of the Holland Centennial Commons building, is responsible for your academic records. If you have earned any college credit prior to attending Utah Tech University send your college transcripts of test scores to the Registrar’s Office to ensure that credit it applied to your Utah Tech records. There may be posting fee for credit earned from tests (AP or CLEP).

Career Services is here to help you obtain the career of your choice at graduation. We encourage you to visit early and often in your time here at Utah Tech. We can assist you with self and career exploration, choosing a major, getting a student job, writing a resume, building your Handshake and LinkedIn profiles, taking career assessments, getting an internship or job shadow, and so many other things.

ATTEND TRAILBLAZER CONNECTIONS – FRESHMEN ONLY
First-year freshmen are required to attend the pre-semester Trailblazer Connections where you will meet classmates, advisors, and faculty members and be introduced to your academic college and the Utah Tech student experience. You will find Trailblazer Connection on your schedule as one of the following: SSC 1010, SSC 1020, SSC TRiO.
2022 Connections courses to be determined soon.
GET YOUR DIGITAL-ID CARD
Your digital-id card is used for checking out materials in the library, gaining access to the Student Activity Center (SAC) and the Fitness Center, your meal plan (every student can purchase a meal plan), entrance to UT athletic events, and admission to all UT student activities.
New students will get their picture taken for the digital-id card at orientation on the 1st floor of the Holland Centennial Commons Building.
GET A PARKING PERMIT
Students are permitted to have a car on campus. If you do bring your car to college with you make sure to purchase a parking permit so you can legally park on campus in designated parking lots.
Parking permits can be purchased online (Purchase Parking Permit) or at the Cashiers Office.

GET YOUR TRAILBLAZER GEAR & TEXTBOOKS
The Campus Store has it all: textbooks, supplies, computer products and UT apparel. Check out the Campus Store to find out what textbooks you will need for your classes, the Campus Store maintains a list provided by the UT Academic Departments. You can purchase new, used textbooks, eBooks or rent your textbook for the semester.
Did you know that Utah Tech University has an Apple Authorized Store? Located on the second floor of the Gardner Center; the Campus Store offers a wide range of Apple products and educational software. Make sure to stop by and ask us about our Apple, HP, and Dell computer educational discounts.

PAYING YOUR TUITION
Tuition is due on the first day of classes. Please make all payment arrangements before the payment deadline. If you are receiving financial aid or scholarship assistance, you are responsible for any remaining account balance.
You can pay your tuition online by logging into your myUT account, or you can pay by cash or check at the Cashier’s Office located on the 1st floor of the Holland Centennial Commons.
Payment plan:
If you are unable to pay your tuition in full, there is a payment plan available. This will divide the tuition into four equal payments over the course of the current semester.

Getting involved is a great way to make new friends, build teamwork skills, develop leadership abilities, and gain valuable experiences that will help you in your career and your life.
